
A 48 mile spellbinding walk through the Forest of Pendle, the Ribble Valley and the Forest of Bowland. Beginning in Sabden at the aptly named ‘Pendle Witch Inn’ and finishing at Lancaster Castle where the accused were held before their trial, this is a route developed to commemorate 400 years since the trial of the Pendle Witches and takes a different route into Lancaster from the Lancaster Witches Walk. The walk passes through Clitheroe, Dunsop Bridge and Abbeystead before dropping down from Bowland and into Lancaster.

This tour includes a night in Lancaster the night before the tour starts, transport to the start point in Sabden on the morning of the tour, and a night in Lancaster at the end of the tour. Please enquire for parking information in Lancaster. We can arrange also arrange accommodation in Sabden on the night before.
All our walks are designed to be completed in a certain number of days, but we can adapt and work with you to organise the walk to suit you needs. This tour was developed as an alternative to the Lancaster Witches Walk, passes through the area where the Pendle witches lived and worked before heading south through the Ribble Valley, going straight over Hawthornthwaite Top through Abbeystead and on to Lancaster Castle.
