W2W - Coast to coast cycling holiday across Cumbria, Yorkshire and Durham
Please feel free to download our W2W information PDF
The W2W is a 153 mile (246 km) cycling tour that connects Walney Island, on the southernmost coastal point in Cumbria to the mouth of the River Wear on the North Sea, or you can also choose to finish in Whitby, which is slightly longer at 179 miles (288 km) in length and crosses thge North York Moors and finishes on the North Yorkshire Coast. It is a beautiful, and sometimes challenging (but always worth it) coast to coast route that is done mainly on quiet local roads with a few traffic free, off road sections along the way.
Our tours gives you the choice of when you would like to start and how many days you would like to take cycling the W2W. From a very challenging two day tour to a gentle 6 day tour (or more if you would to double up nights anywhere along the route), we can organise your adventure across spine of England. All our tours are flexible, if there is anything particular you are looking for please let us know. The W2W begins in Walney Island, just outside Barrow-in-Furness, and crosses west to east to take advantage of the prevailing winds (most of the time), but for those wishing to do it in the opposite direction we can of course accommodate this.
