Inspire yourself on our two day cycling holiday through the breath-taking scenery of the Peak District. The Heights of Abraham, Carsington Water, High Peak and Monsal trails, Peveril Castle, Mam Tor, Blue John Mines, Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton are some of the sights and places that can be visited on our two day cycling tour in the Peak District.
Starting in Matlock, just north of the Famous Matlock Bath and the first village on our route, this cycling tour follows two trails and local roads around some of the most scenic parts of the UK. The first nights stay is in the picturesque village of Bakewell, while the second day of this Peak District cycling holiday finishes in Buxton-famous for its natural spring water and its Georgian architecture. There is an option for an extra nights stay in Buxton.

This is a beautiful little two day tour with day one beginning in Matlockon the east of the Peak District and crossing the centre of the peaks via the High Peak Trailand the Monsal Trail. It begins with a climb up to Carsington Water before joining up with the marvellous high peak trail, leading you north towards Monyashbefore turning east towards Bakewell. Take advantage of the opportunity to try one of their famous tarts with a cup of tea (or something stronger!)
Day twoleaves Bakewell via the newly built Monsal trail to Millers Dale. At Millers Daleyou turn north through open peak countryside towards Hope, where you again turn west. This then takes you past Peveril Castleand the Blue John Cavern– both well worth a visit – below the impressive Mam Torand on to Buxtonfor a well-deserved beverage.
